On Sunday, BJP Telangana Chief Bandi Kumar Sanjay organized a ‘Hindu Ekta Yatra’ in Karimnagar on the occasion of Telugu Hanuman Jayanti. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also participated in the Yatra as the Chief Guest.
The Yatra, which aimed to bring unity and solidarity among the Hindu population, began at 4 pm from Karimnagar’s Vysya Bhavan. The BJP Telangana Chief stated that the Yatra’s purpose was to highlight the injustices meted out to Hindus of Telangana under the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Government, which is in collusion with All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AMIM) and that the state has become a safe shelter for Islamic extremists.
Hindus of any denomination, caste, language, or region were invited to join the Yatra and demonstrate their strength against divisive forces. The director and staff of the movie ‘The Kerala Story’ along with around one lakh people participated in the Yatra. BJP Tamil Nadu State President, Sports, and Skill Development Cell, Amar Prasad Reddy, called on Hindus to unite against divisive forces in a video posted on Twitter.
The Yatra which is scheduled to begin at 4 pm today from Karimnagar’s Vysya Bhavan is aimed at bringing unity, cohesion, and solidarity to the Hindu population to “fend off divisive forces who are at working to wreck the fabric of Bharat in the name of secularism, plurality and diversity”, as per ANI.
