Oscar-winning actor Matthew McConaughey and his wife, Brazilian model Camila Alves, recently experienced a bumpy second flight after a chaotic incident on a Lufthansa plane. This incident came just days after they were forced to take an emergency landing due to a “technical issue” on their first flight from Toronto to Los Angeles.
The couple, who were on their way back from a trip to Canada to attend the Toronto International Film Festival, were both visibly shaken by the incident. After the plane made an emergency landing in Newark, New Jersey, McConaughey took to Twitter to express his frustration with the situation. He wrote, “Chaos on the Lufthansa flight. Wish me luck on the new flight.”
The couple eventually made their way back to Los Angeles, albeit on a bumpy second flight. McConaughey and Alves were both understandably rattled by their experience, but they were not alone. Many other passengers on the flight were equally concerned about the safety of their flight after the chaotic incident. After the couple arrived in Los Angeles, McConaughey took to Twitter again to thank the pilot for getting them safely to their destination. He wrote, “Thanks to our pilot and the entire crew for getting us home safely.”
The incident has raised questions about the safety standards of Lufthansa, and the airline is currently investigating the incident. In the meantime, McConaughey and Alves can at least take comfort in the fact that they are safely back home. After their ordeal, they certainly deserve a restful break from all the travel chaos.
