Four US Citizens Abducted and Assaulted in Mexico

Four US citizens, who have yet to be identified, have been reported missing after they were reportedly abducted and assaulted by unknown individuals in Matamoros, Mexico. The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has been alerted to the incident and is currently working with Mexican authorities to investigate the case.

The individuals were reportedly travelling from Brownsville, Texas to Matamoros when their vehicle was stopped by a group of armed individuals. The individuals were then forcibly taken away, with their vehicle and other belongings left behind. The FBI has released a statement confirming that they are aware of the incident and are working closely with the Mexican authorities. They have also urged anyone with information regarding the case to come forward.

The FBI’s statement reads: “The FBI is aware of reports of four US citizens who have gone missing in Matamoros, Mexico. We are working closely with Mexican authorities to investigate the incident. We urge anyone with information to contact the FBI.” The US State Department The US State Department has also issued a statement, urging US citizens travelling to Mexico to exercise caution. The statement reads: “We strongly urge US citizens to exercise caution when travelling in Mexico and to be aware of their surroundings at all times. US citizens should remain vigilant and take safety precautions when travelling in Mexico, including avoiding travelling alone and at night.”

The US Embassy in Mexico City is also offering assistance to the families of the missing individuals and has set up a hotline for those who have any information regarding the case. The hotline number is 855-971-0256. The incident has sparked outrage in both Mexico and the US, with many demanding justice for the missing individuals. The case has been widely reported in the media, with citizens and public figures calling for the Mexican authorities to take steps to ensure the safety of US citizens travelling to Mexico.

The FBI is continuing to investigate the case and is working closely with Mexican authorities to locate the missing individuals. Anyone with information is urged to contact the FBI at their hotline number.
