Former President Donald Trump is set to make a rare appearance on a CNN town hall event tonight at 8:00 PM ET. The event will be hosted by Don Lemon, who has been known to grill Trump on previous occasions. This will mark the first time Trump will face adversarial questioning from CNN since he left office.

The timing of the town hall appearance is significant, as it comes just a day after a New York jury found Trump liable for sexual abuse against writer E. Jean Carroll. The verdict is likely to be a topic of discussion during the town hall event, as Trump has denied the allegations and refused to provide a DNA sample that Carroll’s legal team requested.

In addition to the Carroll case, Trump is also likely to be questioned about previous charges from Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg regarding payments made to porn actress Stormy Daniels. Trump’s former attorney, Michael Cohen, has previously claimed that he made the payments at Trump’s direction, which Trump has denied.

The CNN town hall promises to be a dramatic event that will likely draw a large audience. While Trump is known for his combative relationship with the media, he has appeared on a few occasions on CNN, a network he has often criticized as “fake news.” This time, however, he will be facing tough questions from one of CNN’s most prominent anchors.

The event is expected to touch on a range of topics, including the ongoing investigation into the January 6 Capitol riot, Trump’s political future, and his thoughts on the current state of the Republican Party. Trump has hinted at a potential presidential run in 2024, and his appearance on the town hall will likely be viewed as an opportunity to gauge his current standing among the public.

The town hall event also provides a platform for Trump to address his supporters and defend his legacy as president. Since leaving office, Trump has continued to be a polarizing figure in American politics, and his influence on the Republican Party remains strong. As the 2022 midterms and 2024 presidential election approach, Trump’s views and opinions will continue to shape the political landscape.

The CNN town hall with Donald Trump promises to be a highly anticipated event, as viewers tune in to see how the former president responds to tough questions and addresses the controversies surrounding him.
