DTC Bus Rams Into Slum Area,4 Injured

The incident took place on Tuesday when the brakes of a DTC (Delhi Transport Bus) failed and rammed into a slum on Rohtak Road at Central Delhi Karol Bagh . Atleast 4 people which also included a woman were injured. The injured people have been admitted to the hospital .

The cluster bus route number 925 was going to Old Delhi Railway Station. The speeding bus suddenly went out of control and entered in the slums. This led to the injuries of nine people in this accident . The incident took place on 9:00 am of Tuesday . ( 10 January 2023)

Police stated that they received a PCR call approximately around 9:39 am about the accident , where a cluster bus going from Nangloi to Old Delhi Railway Station had hit the footpath people on the Rohtak road. The names of the injured people are as follows – Sunita(30), Kela Devi (70), Aarti(30), Anjali , Asha Devi , Chand Khan , a minor Aryaman and Mangat Ram.

DCP Shweta Chauhan stated that the injured people are in stable condition. Legal action is being taken against the bus driver based on the statements given by a taxi driver named Ritesh .

Many incidents of bus accidents have taken place . Recently, an incident of a bus being overturned has been in the news . In Burdwan District of West Bengal, a bus got overturned on Sunday evening. The whole accident was captured on the CCTV footage . It was seen in the footage that the bus got overturned after losing its control . After the authorities got to know about the accident, they rushed to the spot to take control . The injured have shifted to the hospital . Several people were injured and some of them are reported to be in critical condition. The bus driver and conductor escaped from the spot.
