Do you also look at the mirror just gazing at your body that does not look great with the outfit that you planned in your head and end up hating it ? Well in that case you are not alone.

In a survey of young people aged 13-19, 35% said their body image causes them to often or always disappointed.

The issue of unrealistic body goals have been influenced through the social media platforms and are targeted mainly for the youth population. These unrealistic body images have affected the youth to such an extent that they strive to attain features like them and end up taking irreversible decisions that involve changing the way their body looks.

But everything is not what it seems , the “so called” social media influencers just show their best side which is enhanced with the help of various edits, tons of products , heavy lighting and not to mention various hours of makeup to get that one shot and still be captioning it as their natural face. this misleading “natural” photograph ends up affecting the youth.

The inferiority complex leads to peer comparison, anxiety and increasing depression cases.

Therefore, when things gets a little overwhelming, just take a break from social media , take a deep breath , admire your existence and whenever you look at the mirror at yourself and remember this fact that this is how everybody is supposed to look . this is natural , this is nature!

Work on being and representing yourself the way you are. That is where the zeal lies. Be confident and just remember that everybody is fighting their own battles deep inside!
