The ‘CM di Yogshala’ initiative is set to launch today in Patiala, with AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann collaborating for the pilot project in four cities – Amritsar, Phagwara, Ludhiana, and Patiala.
In a media briefing, Punjab Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh informed that a helpline number (7669400500) has been established for those seeking free yoga teachers from the state government. The service will provide information on yoga exercises and diet for a healthier lifestyle, especially beneficial for individuals suffering from respiratory issues, blood pressure, sugar levels, and heart problems.
Dr. Singh highlighted that 60 individuals have been trained at Guru Ravidas University to teach yoga under the ‘CM di Yogshala’ initiative. The aim is to offer accessible yoga instructors and guidance for individuals seeking a healthier life. The health minister further stated that 500 Aam Aadmi clinics have been opened in Punjab to initiate a health revolution, and ‘CM di Yogshala’ aims to continue this momentum by promoting physical and mental well-being for Punjabis.
To further support a healthier lifestyle, there will be a Yoga Meditation Center near Aam Aadmi Clinics. Regular yoga exercise significantly decreases the risk of many diseases, and this program will benefit individuals seeking to lead healthier lives.
