Amity University Kolkata marked a momentous occasion as it hosted its 6th Convocation for the Class of 2024 on November 26, 2024, at the prestigious Biswa Bangla Convention Centre. The grand event celebrated academic brilliance and personal achievements, resonating with the pride of graduates, their families, and the wisdom of distinguished dignitaries from academia and industry.

A total of 1798 students were conferred degrees, along with 94 academic awards, and 37 non-academic awards. The pinnacle of recognition came in the form of two prestigious Honorary Doctorates awarded to Smt. Geetanjali Vikram Kirloskar, Chairperson & MD, Kirloskar Systems and Shri Sandeep Kumar, CEO, L&T Semiconductor Technologies who congratulated the graduates and wished them the best of luck for their future endeavours and they praised the value system of the Amity family and Sanskars that the students have.

Dr. Atul Chauhan, Hon’ble Chancellor of Amity University Kolkata, expressed immense pride in the achievements of the university and its students. Highlighting the global footprint of the Amity education system—with 11 universities, 28 schools across India, 17 overseas campuses, and over 200,000 students—he applauded the vision of Dr. Ashok Chauhan, the Founder of Amity Universe. Dr. Chauhan emphasized that Amity is not just about delivering world-class education but also about instilling strong values and ethics that mold Amitians into responsible global citizens.

Senior Vice President, Mr. U. Ramachandran, extended heartfelt congratulations to the graduates, encouraging them to cherish the sacrifices of their parents and the dedication of their mentors. He assured the students that Amity would always remain their home, no matter where life takes them.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Sanjay Kumar reflected on the significance of this momentous day, calling it a once-in-a-lifetime experience where years of academic perseverance culminate in the proud moment of receiving a degree.

The ceremony concluded on a jubilant note as graduates celebrated their accomplishments by tossing their caps in the air, sharing joyous moments with peers and family, and proclaiming their lasting connection to their alma mater . The spirited voice filled the auditorium with echoing  “Three Cheers to Amity!”

The 6th Convocation of Amity University Kolkata wasn’t just a celebration of academic success—it was a testament to the values, knowledge, and sense of community that Amity instills in its students. It reinforced the promise of a bright future for its graduates, empowered by knowledge, integrity, and a strong sense of purpose.
