Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot of Rajasthan boasted on Sunday about the state’s record-breaking corruption raids. He claimed that since 2018, officers of all ranks, including IAS, IPS, Collectors, RPS, and IRS, were arrested during his tenure.

Gehlot challenged BJP-ruled states to match Rajasthan’s Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in curbing graft cases. He confidently stated, “No BJP-ruled state has conducted as many corruption raids as we have.”

Responding to the BJP State Working Committee’s resolution against his government, Gehlot criticized the BJP’s approach, comparing it to a ravenous wolf. He remarked, “Whenever the BJP comes to power, they act like a hungry wolf.”

Gehlot pointed out the alleged involvement of Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in the Sanjivini Cooperative Society scam. He demanded the Modi government dismiss Shekhawat and pass a resolution against him. Gehlot stated, “If the BJP is serious about corruption, they should sack their own minister.”

Addressing demonetization, Gehlot criticized the BJP’s lack of transparency, alleging they failed to provide an account of the funds deposited during the process. He emphasized, “The BJP has not provided any information on the funds deposited during demonetization.”

Rajasthan Congress in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa highlighted the BJP’s struggles in establishing a stronghold in southern India. He stated, “We have made South India BJP free. Today, there is no BJP government in South India. In North India, the BJP does not have a government on its own in any state.”

Gehlot’s claims of numerous anti-corruption raids and his criticism of the BJP’s alleged corruption scandals aim to showcase his administration’s commitment to eradicating graft in Rajasthan.
