-4 Degrees Cold Wave Expected in North India.

Amidst of all the cold wave terror that has been giving chills to the people, the IMD(Indian Meteorological Department) had predicted that only a temporary relief for residents of Northwest India from severe cold this week.

Till now, January 2023 can be seen as the coldest month in Delhi. An expert has predicted that the temperatures can go down as far as -4 degrees celsius next week.

There is a high possibility that on the horizons between January 14 and 19 January will witness extreme chills. These cold waves are likely to be on their peak from 16 January to 18th of January. This was tweeted by the founder of Live Weather of India , an online weather platform , Navdeep Dahiya.

There are possibilities of a light rainfall in the national capital, Delhi . The IMD (Indian Meteorological Department) had said that the cold wave conditions are very likely in the isolated pockets over Delhi and its neighbouring states from Saturday.

Mr. Dahiya further tweeted,” Also, to note this is a historic run so far in 11 days of January with next few days to look really cold, #january 2023 can be historically coldest – maybe for the 21st century so far?” Mr. Dahiya tweeted. After so many nights with terrible cold waves, the IMD had said that the relief to the residents of the people is going to be temporary.

“There was a similar condition faced by the people in around 2006 . That time the lowest temperature that was recorded was 1.9 degrees Celsius. And moreover, there was a similar cold weather in 2013.” A weather scientist at IMD, RK Jenamani , told the news.

He further added,” In Himalayan states, including Jammu and Kashmir, and especially in Kashmir, there might be heavy rainfall or even snowfall on 12th of January. There could also the the possibility of rains or snowfall in Uttarakhand and Himachal between 11 January and 14 January.”
