The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has declared the results of the 2023 Class 10th board exams. The state education minister, Professor Chandrashekhar, and BSEB chairman Anand Kishore announced along with the names of the toppers. This year, 16,10,657 students appeared for the BSEB matric exams, out of which 81.04% passed.
Md Rumman Ashraf secured the first rank with 97.8% (489 marks out of 500), followed by Namrata Kumari and Gyani Anupama in the second position. Sanju Kumari, Bhavna Kumari, and Jaynandan Kumar Pandit shared the third rank. In total, 21 students secured the top 5 ranks, including 10 girls.
This year, 6,61,570 boys passed the exams, while 6,43,633 girls cleared the exam. The total number of passed candidates is 13,05,203.
The Bihar Board announced cash rewards and prizes for the rank holders. The first rank holders will receive Rs 1 lakh, one laptop, and one Kindle e-book reader. Second-rank holders will get Rs 75,000, one laptop, and one Kindle e-book reader, while third-rank holders will receive Rs 50,000, one laptop, and one Kindle e-book reader. The fourth to tenth-rank holders will receive Rs 10,000, one laptop, and one Kindle e-book reader each.
Once again, Simultala Awashiya Vidyalaya, Jamui, recorded most of the toppers, with 10 students from the school securing positions in the top 10 ranks. In the 2022 exams, five students from the school were among the top ten rank holders.
