Ace wrestler Vinesh Phogat has accepted the challenge from wrestling body chief and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. Phogat and seven other complainants are ready to undergo a narco test, along with Singh. They insist on a live telecast to expose his alleged mistreatment of women. The wrestlers have been protesting at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar for a month and vow to continue until Singh is arrested.
Singh responded by agreeing to the test if Phogat and Olympian Bajrang Punia participate. Phogat accused Singh of being protected by the government and exerting influence over the police. They plan to seek support from international Olympians.
Sakshi Malik, another prominent protester, wants their message to reach a wider audience, stating it’s a fight for women across the country. This is the wrestlers’ second round of protests against Singh. Committees have been formed to address their concerns, but they demand Singh’s removal from all posts. The Delhi Police have registered an FIR against Singh, yet the wrestlers remain determined in their protest.
