Three individuals, identified as Anand, Shiva, and Ravi, tragically lost their lives while cleaning a petrol tank at Bashir Khan petrol pump in Rayachoty town, Andhra Pradesh. The Hindustan Petroleum Limited had sent three workers from Kadapa district to clean the long-unused tank. The incident occurred around 5:40 pm on Sunday when Shiva slipped into the tank while looking down. In an attempt to rescue him, Ravi and Anand also fell into the tank.
Upon receiving the news, the fire brigade and the police immediately rushed to the scene and commenced rescue efforts. Sadly, only one person could be saved and was swiftly taken to a nearby hospital. Tragically, the remaining two victims lost their lives inside the tank, while the rescued individual succumbed to injuries at the hospital. Post-mortem examinations were conducted to determine the cause of death.
