Massive celebrations and displays of support marked the swearing-in ceremony of the new Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar. The entire state was adorned with banners featuring the leaders, including Congress president Mllikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, and Rahul Gandhi.

As the grand old party emerged victorious in the state assembly elections, the streets were filled with posters of prominent Congress figures, such as former presidents Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, current party chief Mallikarjun Kharge, and national general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.

Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot presided over the oath-taking ceremony, which took place at Bengaluru’s Kanteerava Stadium at approximately 12:30 pm. Alongside the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister, eight MLAs were also sworn in as ministers. Among them were Congress MLAs Dr. G Parameshwara, KH Muniyappa, KJ George, MB Patil, Satish Jarkiholi, Priyank Kharge, Ramalinga Reddy, and BZ Zameer Ahmed Khan, as reported by ANI.

Outside the residences of Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah, enthusiastic supporters engaged in lively celebrations, distributing sweets, playing loud music, and joyfully dancing to the tunes. Traditional music filled the air outside Siddaramaiah’s Bengaluru residence, adding to the festive atmosphere. The event witnessed heightened security measures due to the large gathering and the significance of the oath-taking ceremony. Notably, one passionate supporter expressed their unwavering support by getting a tattoo of the leader’s face inked on their chest.
