Profile of a Multi-Talented Female Architect

Name: Ar. Gayatri Malekar

Education: Graduated in B.Arch with Honours ( Bronze Medalist) as 3rd ranker from Mumbai University in the year 2003-2004 and embarked on a journey in architecture that has spanned over two decades.

Professional Experience: With a rich portfolio spanning diverse domestic and commercial projects, Ar. Gayatri has left an indelible mark on the architecture and interior design industry. She has set up her Professional Practice since 2010 under the Firm ‘G+M Design Studio’. Her keen eye for detail and innovative approach has led to the successful completion of numerous successful projects. She recently achieved Women’s Pride Award in April 2023 as among top 50 Indian Women Entrepreneurs.Her work has been published in magazines like Inside Architecture and has been appreciated nationwide.

Artistry: Beyond her architectural prowess, she is also a professional artist, who established her Brand, ‘Best of Art by Ar. Gayatri’ on 15th April 2015 on the auspicious occasion of World Art Day. Her artworks often reflect and depict our rich Indian culture and heritage. She has bagged 3rd prize at National Level from Kalaam Foundation in Painting under the category of Professional Artists in the year 2021.Her paintings and artworks have reached globally and also taken by eminent celebrities. She has also managed to provide employment to 30+ local women artists. Her goal is to promote Indian Art globally and support Local Indian artists at a broader spectrum.

Modeling: Ar. Gayatri has also dabbled in modeling, gracing the covers of magazines for a few professional brands and bringing her distinctive style to the forefront. She won a beauty and Talent pageant, ‘Apsara 2023’ at Maharashtra level in 2023.

Passions: A devoted pet lover, Ar. Gayatri finds solace and inspiration in the company of her furry companions. Her love for gardening extends her creativity beyond the drawing board, as she cultivates vibrant landscapes that complement her architectural designs.

Legacy: Gayatri stands as a testament to the power of passion, talent, and hard work. Her contributions to the fields of architecture, art, and design have left an enduring legacy, inspiring future generations to push the boundaries of creativity and innovation.
