Kozhikode: A soulful musical tribute to Indian Army Wayanad, the song “Hridhayame”, was released on 14th August 2024 by eminent musician Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri and District Collectaor Snehil Kumar Singh at a special event in Kozhikode. The song, featuring 25 renowned singers, including acclaimed artists such as Hariharan, Usha Uthup, M.G. Sreekumar, and Unnikrishnan, was a collaborative effort to support a noble cause.
The song was released as a tribute to Indian Army on 14th August and it hit 1 million+ in September 2024.
Penned by the legendary lyricist Kaithapram and composed by the talented music director Rajesh Babu K. Shooranad, “Hridayame” resonates with deep emotion and love for the serene district of Wayanad. The song was coordinated by PK Sunil Kumar, a prominent playback singer and performer, and completed in a record time of just five days.
With voices of iconic singers like Naresh Iyer, Sithara Krishnakumar, Unni Menon, and young talents including Mridula Warrier and Nitya Mammen, the song beautifully captures the essence of Wayanad. Proceeds from the sale of the song will be directed towards the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund, adding a philanthropic touch to the creative initiative.
