In a shocking incident, a wine shop staffer was robbed of Rs 1.5 lakh by three unidentified men in Pune’s Kalyani Nagar on Saturday night. The victim, identified as Dilip Rajore, 59, had closed the wine shop and was carrying the cash earned from the day’s business to the wine shop owner’s house at Kalyani Nagar when the robbery took place.

According to the police, the incident occurred around 10.45 pm when three men on a motorcycle reached the spot and snatched the cash bag from Rajore before fleeing the scene. The Yerwada police were immediately informed, and a team visited the crime scene to initiate an investigation into the matter.

The police have registered a case against the three unidentified men under sections 392 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Meanwhile, efforts are underway to identify the suspects and bring them to justice.

Incidents of robberies and thefts have been on the rise in recent times, and the police have urged citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities in their neighborhoods. They have also advised people to avoid carrying large amounts of cash and to use electronic payment methods wherever possible to prevent such crimes from occurring.
