Rishi Singh from Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh emerged as the winner of Indian Idol 13, taking home the trophy, a new car, and a cash prize of Rs 25 lakh. The first runner-up was Debosmita Roy from Kolkata, while the third place went to Chirag Kotwal from Jammu. Other finalists in the competition were Bidipta Chakraborty, Sonakshi Kar, and Shivam Singh.
Upon being announced the winner, Rishi Singh was overwhelmed with emotion and said, “I still can’t believe that I won the Indian Idol 13 trophy. The feeling is surreal! It was a dream come true moment for me when my name was announced as the winner of this season. It is a huge honor to be taking ahead the legacy of such a well-loved and prestigious show.”
Debosmita Roy, who was a crowd favorite throughout the competition, said, “I can’t believe I had the opportunity to perform on such a huge platform in front of all the judges and special guests. It is a great achievement for me to see the smile and the pride in my parent’s eyes.”
Chirag and Debosmita received a cash prize of Rs 5 lakh each, while Bidipta Chakraborty and Shivam Singh were given a cheque of Rs 3 lakh each as the third and fourth runners-up. All six finalists were also awarded Rs 1 lakh each and specially curated hampers.
Rishi Singh expressed his gratitude towards the channel, the judges, and the entire team of Indian Idol for providing them with such an amazing platform to showcase their talent. He also thanked his fans and viewers who had voted for him throughout the competition.
