Ahead of Friday night SmackDown, Roman Reigns, the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, took to Twitter to express his gratitude to his fans. He proudly announced completing a historic 1000-day reign as the Universal Champion, crediting tough times for shaping him into the dominant force he is today. Reigns confidently declared himself as the “Greatest of All Time” and used the hashtags #AcknowledgeMe and #SmackDown.
In August 2020, Reigns claimed the Universal Championship by defeating Bray Wyatt’s “The Fiend” and Braun Strowman in a triple threat match. Throughout his 1000-day reign, Reigns has triumphed over formidable opponents including Brock Lesnar, Sami Zayn, Cody Rhodes, and others.
However, Reigns’ invincibility has attracted enemies and posed increased challenges. Recently, he teamed up with Solo Sikoa to pursue the Undisputed Tag Team titles against champions Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Despite their efforts, Reigns and Sikoa were defeated at Night of Champions 2023. The shocking twist came when Reigns’ own cousin, Jimmy Uso, attacked him with two superkicks, exposing a long-standing rift within The Bloodline faction.
Fans eagerly anticipate the upcoming episode of SmackDown, as Reigns’ manager, Paul Heyman, hinted at discussing the events of Night of Champions 2023. Heyman tweeted that Reigns, Solo, and himself would provide detailed explanations during the show.
As The Bloodline teeters on the brink of collapse due to Jimmy’s betrayal, WWE fans are eager to discover Reigns’ plans for the future.
