PM Modi to virtually inaugurate Puri-Howrah Vande Bharat Express tomorrow. The train will cover a distance of 500 km in around 6.5 hours. It will depart from Howrah at 6:10 am and reach Puri at 12:35 pm, with a return journey from Puri at 1:50 pm and arrival at Howrah at 8:30 pm. Stops will include Kharagpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur Keonjhar Road, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, and Khurda Road.

The train aims to cater to the influx of tourists visiting Puri as a pilgrimage and beach resort town, particularly from Bengal and Kolkata. PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone for the redevelopment of Puri and Cuttack railway stations in Odisha. Regular operations of the train will commence on May 20, running six days a week, except Thursdays.

According to travel agents, the semi-high-speed Puri-Howrah Vande Bharat Express is expected to be extremely popular among travelers. Puri, known as the abode of Lord Jagannath, attracts a large number of tourists from Bengal, especially Kolkata, and its surrounding areas.

The town is renowned for its religious significance as well as its beautiful beaches, making it a sought-after destination for both pilgrims and beach enthusiasts. This information was reported by PTI.

The train’s schedule for the Puri-Howrah Vande Bharat Express is as follows: it will leave Howrah station at 6.10 am and arrive in Puri at 12.35 pm. On the return journey, it will depart from Puri at 1.50 pm and reach Howrah at 8.30 pm.
