She received her primary education from Sacred Heart Matriculation School, Chennai, before pursuing a degree in Commerce from Stella Marias College, Chennai, in 2011. Rooted in a family with a rich political legacy, Tuhinaa draws inspiration from her lineage. She is the granddaughter of Smt. Maragatham Chandrasekhar, the first Woman President of the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee, who served as a Union Minister and Member of Parliament in the cabinets of Smt. Indira Gandhi and Shri Rajiv Gandhi. Additionally, Tuhinaa is the niece of Smt. Latha Priyakumar, a former MLA and Member of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes.
Throughout her political career, Tuhinaa Chandrasekhar has been involved in numerous initiatives aimed at driving positive change. From her role as the State Secretary of Tamil Nadu Mahila Congress to her participation in various electoral campaigns and organizational committees, she has consistently worked towards the betterment of society.
