A 22-year-old delivery executive for Blinkit was allegedly stabbed to death in Central Delhi’s Anand Parbat on Saturday night. The victim, identified as Karan Singh, was attacked along with three of his friends and relatives by their neighbors after a fight over a minor issue.
As per the police, the incident occurred around 8.30 pm and was reported via two PCR calls. The callers reported a quarrel between two groups and the stabbing of a person in the Prem Nagar area. Karan Singh and the other injured persons were immediately taken to hospitals. However, due to the severity of his injuries, Karan was shifted to another hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
DCP (Central) Sanjay Sain stated that the locals and Karan’s friends revealed the names of the accused involved in the incident. After conducting raids, the police were able to arrest all of them. The accused have been identified as Sonu (30), Shivam (22), Deepak (22), Jasvinder (20), Pintu (18), and a 17-year-old boy who was apprehended in connection with the case.
The police have registered a case against the accused under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including murder, attempt to commit culpable homicide, and acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention.
The incident shocked the locals, who demanded strict action against the accused. The police have assured them that they are investigating the matter thoroughly and will take appropriate action against those found guilty.
