Nang Lucky Gogoi, a proud native of the Sivasagar district of Assam and a dedicated Shiva devotee, welcomes everyone to her hometown on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri this year.

A director on the board of the Assam Tourism Development Corporation Ltd and a member of the Assam State Commission for Women, Nang Lucky Gogoi is thrilled to invite all to participate in the glorious celebration of the Shiva Festival starting from the 17th of February this year.

Mahashivratri is one of the most important festivals for Hindus worldwide, and Sivasagar is known for its grand celebrations during this auspicious occasion. The town is home to several Shiva temples, including the historic Muktinath Sivadol, considered one of the holiest shrines on Earth.

Visitors can expect a vibrant display of local culture, traditional performances, and delicious local cuisine to enjoy in the town during the festival.

Nang Lucky Gogoi expresses her excitement about the upcoming Shiva Festival and urges everyone to come and experience the joy and spirituality of this holy occasion. She also invites visitors to explore the beauty and cultural heritage of Sivasagar, known for its rich history and archaeological sites, including the Ahom-era monuments.

She also assured us about the efforts of the Assam Tourism Development Corporation in serving the visitors in the region and promised a warm welcome to all.

Nang Lucky Gogoi’s message is to come and experience the divinity, culture, and beauty of Sivasagar during this Shiva Festival and make it an unforgettable experience.
