The story of Kumar’s family in the cinema business began with his grandparents, Ranganna and N.P. Rudramma, who founded Touring Talkies in a small town called Kunigal. The family eventually settled in Yelahanka, where they established a popular theater now known as Prakash Theater, a beloved landmark in the region for the past 50 years. Manoj, an engineering graduate from PESIT, Bangalore, brings a unique blend of technical and cinematic expertise to the industry. After starting his career in Germany with Mercedes, Kumar returned to India, driven by his passion to advance his family’s film distribution business. Under the mentorship of his father, Chandrashekar, Manoj honed his skills in marketing and distribution, overseeing the success of blockbuster films like Raja, Annayya, Aparichitudu, Athadu, and Maska across Karnataka. These titles, featuring stars such as Chiranjeevi and Venkatesh, have cemented his family’s reputation as a trusted name in film distribution.

His upcoming release, Megha, a heartwarming family drama, is already generating anticipation among moviegoers.
