Manjit Hans, a key figure in the Punjabi television industry, has been instrumental in transforming the sector over the past 17 years. As the Senior Vice President at Zee Entertainment Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. and Content Head at Zee Punjabi, Hans has driven numerous successful initiatives, establishing himself as a leader in the field.

Hans’s journey began with a fine arts degree in Ukraine, followed by a foray into the world of animation. His early career experiences highlighted a significant gap between regional and national TV channels, sparking his ambition to elevate Punjabi television to new heights.

Launching Divya Channel was Hans’s first major step toward this goal. The channel’s global success paved the way for further ventures, including Josh TV, Pitara, and Zee Punjabi. Under his leadership, these channels have achieved remarkable viewership and content quality, rivaling national channels.

Throughout his career, Hans has collaborated with notable Punjabi artists such as Diljit Dosanjh, Sonam Bajwa, Gippy Grewal, and Neeru Bajwa. He has produced several hit shows, including “Dil Diyaan Gallan” with Sonam Bajwa, “Yaraan di Number 1 Yaari,” “Jazba” with Neeru Bajwa, and “Punjabiyaan di Dadigiri” featuring cricketer Harbhajan Singh.

Recognized for his contributions to media and entertainment, Hans received the Shan-e-Punjab Award from Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi. His leadership style, characterized by a hands-on approach and a philosophy of stepping outside comfort zones, has been a source of inspiration for many in the industry.

Manjit Hans continues to shape the future of Punjabi television, making significant strides in enhancing its prominence and quality on both national and international stages.
