Under India’s presidency, the G20 Tourism Working Group will meet in Srinagar. Preparations are in the final stages, with various departments actively involved. Punjabi singer Yo Yo Honey Singh expressed excitement about the G20 Summit in Kashmir, urging fans worldwide to support the event.

Security measures include joint mock drills conducted on Dal Lake by the CRPF’s Water Wing and Quick Action Team. Special drills were also performed by CRPF Commandos in the lake area. These efforts ensure a safe and successful G20 meeting.

India assumed the G20 presidency on December 1, 2022, for a year-long term. The upcoming G20 meeting in Kashmir has the potential to attract global investors and tourists, revitalizing the tourism industry. Despite past instability, Kashmir’s natural beauty continues to captivate visitors.

Anticipation is building in Srinagar as the G20 Summit approaches. The event provides an opportunity for global leaders to address critical issues and highlights Kashmir’s scenic wonders. The region’s breathtaking landscapes, diverse culture, and peaceful coexistence of different faiths exemplify its enduring spirit. With support from tourism players, the G20 meeting could bring renewed interest in Kashmir and contribute to its economic development.
