A third-year medical student from Haryana, India, studying in the United Kingdom has been issued a lookout circular by the Mumbai Police. The student is accused of sending death-threat emails to popular Bollywood actor Salman Khan. However, the student has not yet been identified by the Bandra Police as the legal process for his extradition to India is ongoing.

The incident took place in March when Salman Khan received a threatening email in the name of gangster Goldy Brar. Goldy Brar is accused of murdering Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala in 2020. The email threatened the actor’s life, and the Mumbai Police launched an investigation. They soon discovered that the email had been sent by an Indian student studying in the UK.

The Mumbai Police have initiated the extradition process by sharing the Mutual Legal Assistance treaty (MLAT) with the UK authorities. This treaty enables the two countries to exchange information and evidence for legal purposes. The extradition process involves a complex legal procedure, and it is not clear when the student will be extradited to India.

The case has attracted considerable attention in India and the UK, with many people expressing concern about the safety of Bollywood stars. Salman Khan is one of the most popular actors in India, and his fans are worried about his safety. The incident has also raised questions about the security of public figures in India.

The issue of threats to public figures is not new in India. Many Bollywood actors and actresses have been threatened in the past, and some have even been attacked. In recent years, the Indian government has taken steps to improve the security of public figures, but there is still a long way to go.

The incident has also highlighted the growing trend of cybercrime. With the increasing use of the internet and social media, cybercrime has become a major concern for law enforcement agencies around the world. Cybercriminals can use the anonymity of the internet to commit crimes, making it difficult for law enforcement agencies to identify and apprehend them. The incident has also raised questions about the mental health of students studying abroad. The stress of living in a foreign country, coupled with academic pressures, can take a toll on a student’s mental health. It is essential to provide adequate support to students studying abroad to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.

In conclusion, the case of the Indian student studying in the UK who sent death-threat emails to Bollywood actor Salman Khan highlights the growing concern about the safety of public figures in India. It also raises questions about the effectiveness of the extradition process and the growing trend of cybercrime. It is essential to provide adequate support to students studying abroad and take steps to improve the security of public figures in India.
