Russia conducted a night air raid on Kyiv, resulting in at least one fatality and three injuries. The defense systems successfully downed over 20 drones approaching the capital. However, another wave of drones is expected. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko urged residents to seek shelter and remain vigilant.
Tragically, a 41-year-old man in the Solomyanskyi district died when debris from a falling drone hit a gas station. In the same district, a fire broke out in a seven-story non-residential building due to drone fragments. Additionally, in the Pecherskyi district, a fire erupted on the roof of a nine-story building caused by falling drone debris.
Despite the danger, defiant residents took to their balconies during the air raid, chanting slogans like “Glory to air defense.” The Solomyanskyi district, where the casualties and fires occurred, serves as a bustling transportation hub.
The situation in Kyiv remained tense as authorities prepared for further drone attacks.
