OVERVIEWRECENT TREND THE WAYS TO LURE CHILDREN IN CONCLUSION

OVERVIEW

Computers , laptops, smartphones, i-pads, these devices can be easily seen more in the hands of children as comparative to elders. Now a days the users population comprises of more teenagers than the elder population. This can be seen as a result of the influence of the modern generation that children are more advanced in technologies than older people.

However, as the activities have taken an online shift , so has the crimes against children.

RECENT TREND

The recent trends show that cybercrimes have been making their prey especially to young children and teenagers who surf the internets since they are more easy attack on. Cyber bullying have taken a vicious form.

THE WAYS TO LURE CHILDREN IN

The social media platforms are the most used way for cyber predators to hunt the children down. They may make fake profiles to lure children in , send requests and then strike friendships on common topics like interests, hobbies and may initially seem to be such nice and friendly people but soon will try to manipulate them and may sometimes influence them to do such acts which re beyond their authorities.

Hacking accounts is yet another way to execute crimes against teenagers. Having incomplete knowledge about the cyber precautions are an advantage to such cyber predators. They know very well that luring in children through attractive sites and images, pictures is not a difficult task . Children fail to identify reliable sources while surfing the internet and fall into the hands of such criminals.

Once the accounts are hacked, it is very easy for those hackers to access useful and personal information and leak it to the dark web and other websites where they should not be put.

The access to their cameras is quite easy to have once the accounts are hacked, it can further lead to gruesome child sexual abuse.

More often, after becoming a prey to such criminals , the mental health of children is the easiest to get affect.

CONCLUSION

Therefore it is a high time to take active preventive measures to keep children safe from such acts . There must be proper cyber security education in the school curriculums so as to make children aware of what is going on with them on the internet platforms!
