The monthly radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’ hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to complete its 100th episode on April 30. The Centre is planning various events to celebrate the milestone, with the National Conclave on Mann Ki Baat starting on Wednesday. As part of the celebrations, the Centre will also release a special Rs 100 coin, which will be different from the usual coins in circulation.

The Rs 100 coin, which is being minted to commemorate the 100 successful episodes of the popular radio broadcast, will feature a microphone and the year ‘2023’ on it. According to the government notification, only one coin will be minted, which will have a diameter of 44 mm and will be made of four metals – 50% silver, 40% copper, 5% nickel, and 5% zinc.

The front of the coin will bear the Ashoka Pillar, with the words ‘Satyamev Jayate’ inscribed below it. The word ‘Bharat’ will be written in Devnagari on the left side, while ‘INDIA’ will be written in English on the right side. The coin will also have the ₹ symbol along with ‘100’ engraved on it. There will also be a symbol of the 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat, featuring a picture of a microphone with sound waves. The words ‘Mann Ki Baat 100’ will be written in Hindi and English.

The total weight of the coin will be 35 grams. The government has previously released similar commemorative coins, including a Rs 100 coin in memory of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, a coin on the birth centenary of Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia, and a coin on the 476th birth anniversary of Maharana Pratap.

The release of the Rs 100 coin is just one of the many events planned by the Centre to celebrate the 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat. The National Conclave on Mann Ki Baat will feature discussions on various aspects of the radio program and its impact on the country. The celebrations are a testament to the popularity of the radio program, which has become a platform for the Prime Minister to connect with people across the country and share his thoughts and ideas.
