West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee made a veiled attack on the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) during an Eid-ul-Fitr gathering in Kolkata on Saturday. She accused BJP of trying to create divisions in the country by giving money to ‘some’ who claim to divide Muslim votes for the party. The CM said that the people of West Bengal want peace, not riots, and she will give her life to prevent the country from being divided.

Banerjee also urged people to be aware and not to listen to anyone who tries to create divides in the country. She referred to the BJP as a “gaddar party” and said she dares to fight them and the agencies that support them, such as the ED and CBI. She added that she will not bow down to them.

The CM also addressed the issue of changing place names and the National Register of Citizens (NRC). She said that democracy is at risk and everything will be lost if it goes away. She promised that she will not allow the BJP to change the Constitution and bring in the NRC.

Banerjee ended her speech by promising the people of West Bengal that she will continue to fight against those who try to divide the country and create unrest. She urged people to stay peaceful and not to listen to those who want to create divisions. The elections are one year away, and she urged people to see who will get elected and who won’t.
