Apple, the iconic tech company, opened its second retail store in India on Thursday, April 20. The new store, called Apple Saket, is located on the first floor of Select Citywalk Mall in South Delhi. The store was inaugurated by Apple CEO Tim Cook at 10 am.
As customers eagerly gathered outside the Apple Saket store, Tim Cook welcomed them with a smile and interacted with them, even taking pictures with fans. Despite its smaller size, the Apple Saket store offers all the services expected of an Apple store, including a uniquely designed curved storefront with white oak tables displaying Apple products and accessories, as well as a feature wall manufactured in India. Additionally, there is a dedicated Apple Pickup station, where buyers can order online and collect their devices in-store at a convenient time.
It’s noteworthy that the Apple Saket store operates on 100 percent renewable energy and is carbon neutral. The store has more than 70 retail team members who come from a combined 18 states in India and collectively speak more than 15 languages. Visitors can make a reservation at the Genius Bar at Apple Saket for hands-on technical and hardware support from an expert. Genius Bar appointments can help with everything from setting up a device, recovering an Apple ID, selecting an AppleCare plan, or modifying subscriptions.
Apple Saket will also be a hub for inspiration and education, offering customers free, daily in-store sessions through Today at Apple. The Today at Apple programming will take place in a roundtable setting for a more personalized customer experience. Whether you’re a photographer, musician, artist, or even a first-time Apple customer, you can register for a Today at Apple session at apple.com/in/today/saket. The store’s operational hours are scheduled from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM on all weekdays.
