A major case has surfaced the internet. Nine doctors and medical students were arrested in Karnataka for their involvement in trafficking and consuming drugs. There was a raid which led to their arrests. The raid was executed as a Joint Operation by the Central Crime Branch and the Mangaluru Police .

Mr. Shashikumar, the Police Commissioner of Mangaluru city told NDTV ,” We had a tip from Neel Kishorilal, a UK citizen of Indian origin who was a BDS student at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal between 2006-2007, and was the key peddler and supplier for the doctors and medical students of the college. “

Shashikumar stated that the raid was based after questioning a UK citizen of Indian Origin student of a dental college. He was living in Mangaluru for fifteen years of a dental college . He was staying there after he failed to compete the course. When he was interrogated, he then revealed that the other students in medical , dental colleges and doctors involved in the consumption and peddling of ganja.

How Police Was Able To Arrest The Accused?

The medical student who was arrested in the raid were on remand in the police custody for two days. They then were brought in front of the Magistrate. Police recovered two mobile phones , almost over 2 kg of ganja of approximately Rs. 50,000 , a dagger , electronic gadgets , a digital weighing scale , and a toy pistol.

When the student, Kishorilal was caught, he had that toy pistol which he would use in situation of danger.” On the basis of his information only that he revealed to the police officials during his questioning. The officials were able to arrest others. All the doctors and students that were involved in these drugs and trafficking . They were all of the age groups of 22 to 32.” Said the police officials.

Currently they have been sent in police custody for two days.
