At a time when society is grappling with the growing menace of drug abuse among school-going children, the upcoming Malayalam film “INI – The Unknown Tomorrow” steps forward with a bold, emotional, and socially relevant message. Centered on the life of a 13-year-old girl, the film becomes a powerful anti-drugs movement, questioning where today’s children are heading and what kind of future we are leaving behind for them.

The film revolves around Shivada, a young adolescent portrayed with striking sensitivity by child actor Devananda Parveen. Through Shivada’s journey, INI – The Unknown Tomorrow sheds light on how the innocence of teenage life slowly fades away under the illusion of addiction, peer pressure, and exploitation. The film does not just narrate a story, it raises an urgent question to society: when values disappear and addiction takes over, what role models are we offering the next generation? Is this the future our children should carry back to their homes, their country, and the nation?

Director Anil Kaarakkulam presents a direct and unfiltered portrayal of students who unknowingly embark on a path of no return. Without glorifying substance abuse, INI – The Unknown Tomorrow exposes its harsh realities, making the audience confront uncomfortable truths about schools, surroundings, and the silence of adults. The narrative strongly reflects the fragile stage of adolescence, where a single wrong influence can change a life forever.

Devananda Parveen’s performance as Shivada stands at the emotional core of the film. Her portrayal captures the confusion, vulnerability, and silent suffering of a child caught in circumstances beyond her age. The character reflects thousands of unheard voices, making Shivada not just a role, but a representation of today’s endangered childhood.

Adding further strength to the storyline, Shanoop,

who has been gaining recognition in Malayalam cinema, plays a significant and impactful role.

His presence adds depth to the film’s narrative, reinforcing its social relevance and emotional intensity.

INI – The Unknown Tomorrow is produced by Rajesh K Babu Sooranad

and Sibin Davis under  Voks Studios and Aniva Creations, with a dedicated technical crew supporting its vision. Cinematography is handled by Shobin C Johnny, whose visuals bring authenticity to the story,   Production Controller Nilambur Sunny Project Designer Shanoop, Editor Jijo Babu K,

Makeup Jayaraman Poopathy,

Music for the film is composed by Rajesh Babu K Sooranad, while the background score is by

Rev. Dr. Fr. Joy Mathew, adding emotional weight to crucial moments.

Biju Mookknnur also contributes significantly to the film’s musical elements.

Beyond its cinematic elements, ‘INI – The Unknown Tomorrow’ stands as a social mirror. It asks a haunting yet necessary question: the school period is often described as the most beautiful phase of life, a journey filled with dreams and unknown tomorrows.

But is the school life of today’s children truly beautiful?

Is their future secure?

INI – The Unknown Tomorrow does not offer easy answers. Instead, it urges parents, educators, and society at large to reflect, respond, and act, before the light in our children’s future fades away completely.
